Title:  BN 1791
Description:  GP9 with a couple of switchers in tow. This old Geep served a few roads after retirement from BN around 1991. FSR 1791, AOK 1791, ADIX 1267, NYGL 1267 and finally CRAX 1267. Still around quite recently. (2022) BN217 was originally NP 158 and after retirement served CEEC and PRSX in Tacoma WA. Sent to Progress Rail in Mayfield, KY after the Tacoma facility closed in 2021. Fate unknown.BN 187 was originally NP 128 and passed to Watco WAMX as #1214. Last seen switching in Montana in 2018.

Description:  BN 1841 displays the chopped nose, whilst its neighbour BN 1840 does not. BN 1841 was new as NP 215, becoming BN 1841 then BNSF 1615. Afteeer retirement it was bbought by the Louis Dreyfuss Corporation for use in Seattle as LDCX 2010. Still in use as we entered the 2020's. Along lived GP9 indeed!.

Description:  September 1978 is the approximate date of an Amtrak service, led by AMTK 255 passing BN 1922. Originally NP 337, becoming BN 1922 then BNSF 1628. Retired in 2000 and became BUGX 337 before getting a red and grey livery for its role as NWP 1922. AMTK 255 was wrecked at Silver Springs, MD in 1996.

Description:  Undated shot of an SD9 and a GP9 working together in harmony. BN 6151 served 30 years 7/55 to 7/85. It was new as CBQ 349. The GP9 was new as CBQ 285 in 1954 but survived into the BNSF era as BNSF 1633. After retirement, it saw further service with Trinity Industries as TLLX 1633. Texas Rock Crusher Railway as TXR 102 then Texas & North Western as TNWX 116. Recorded at work in late 2013 with Do Not Fill on the fuel tank. maybebthat was the end after almost 60 years of service. Well Done!
