Description:  No exact date or location for this shot. CBQ 988 became BN 2534. Got re-engineered as a GP39E, BNSF 2936. Later passed to WAMX after retirement to become WAMX 3916. Delivered in the thankfully, unsuccessful proposed new BN livery. BN 520, an SD45 became BN 6461. Passed to Chicago & North Western as CNW 6580. Re-engineered by VMV as an SD40M-2 it then passed through MKCX, MPI, HLCX and ASDX as roster number 9026.

ATSF 5701
Title:  ATSF 5701
Description:  A pair of American Bicentennial locomotives. ATSF 5701 was one of five SD45-2's that the Santa Fe painted up for the bicentennial. Repainted into basic blue and yellow by 1977. IT got damaged and rebuilt as a B unit in 1987, becoming ATSF 5514. It later became BNSF 7508 then BNSF 6523. Norfolk and Western's 1776, a 1970 built SD45 is today preserved at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, VA.

Description:  A trio of SD45's, BN 6540 spent all of its 15 years with BN. BN 6474 passed firstly to CNW, then to SP and finally absorbed into UP, by way of CNW 6474, SP 8609 and UP 2685 reporting marks. Then it was sold to NREX as NREX 2685. BN 6415 was new to Northern Pacific as NP 3615 but saw out its days with BN.

Description:  CS 885 became BN 6345 before being bought by MRL as its 218. Retired by MRL in 2011. BN 6417 was new as NP 3617.. After retirement from BN it passed to Wisconsin Central as its 6495 and later 7495. After retirement from WC it entered preservation in the guise of NP 3617. CS 879 stayed with the BNSF group, firstly as 6339 and latterly as 6367 until retirement. ocation and date of photo is unknown and is approximate.

Description:  This Al Chione shot, taken at an undiscosed location. date unknown shows two SD45's leading a manifest. 6441 still carries GN livery, whereas 6468 has the short-loved broad white band livery which soon got replaced by Cascade Green after the merger. The trailing locos have Cascade Green and Big Blue Liveries. 6441's retirement date is unknown but 6468 lasted until August 1980. 6441 was new to GN as 411 and 6468 came from the CBQ stable as 527. The date is approximate.

Description:  BN 6454 was delivered to GN as #424 in 1968. Returned to Lessor in December 1983 then sold to Chicago & North Western as its #6573. Got rebuilt as a SD40M-2 and passed to SP as #8653. When SP merged with UP, it became UP 2729. Retired by UP it passed to NREX as NREX 2729 then got sold to WAMX as 4237. Exact date and location of this Al Chione shot are unknown.

GP20, BN 2069 was new as CBQ 933. Retired by BN in 8/85. The trailing SD9, was newb to CBQ as CBQ 360, becoming BN 6162 at the formation of BN. Subsequently became BNSF 6162 then retired as BN 1739 and sent to the Silvis facility in IL by 2009.
