Alco RS3 number 4068, strangely coupled to an F9B, 825. The RS3 was built in June 1953 for Great Northern as its 231. Passed to SPS in April 1959 as its 83, then absorbed by BN as 4068. Retired in 1980, it then passed to the Spencerville and Elgin Railroad (SPEG) and was scrapped in Ohio City, OH in November 1996. Te F9B was new to Northern Pacific as 7006B. |
